Florida's 2025 Legislature passed several bills enhancing mandatory seller disclosures in residential real estate sales, effective July 1, 2025. Condominium sellers must now provide additional documents, including the current budget, with buyers given seven days to cancel contracts after disclosure. Sellers must disclose flood damage knowledge by contract signing. New laws require builders to warranty homes free from material Florida Building Code violations for one year. These measures expand buyer protections beyond the 1988 Johnson v. Davis ruling.
